MEGIN was delighted to recently exhibit at the 1st International Epilepsy Surgery Society Congress (IESS) in Dubai, January 19-21, 2024.
The IESS event was endorsed by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), in collaboration with the Epilepsy Surgery Techniques Meeting (ESTM), the Egyptian Society of Neuroradiology (ESON), and the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center.
This 3-day event was designed to be a high-level epilepsy surgery congress. An esteemed group of global experts presented on different epilepsy surgery techniques and protocols, which attracted many attendees from the GCC region.
MEGIN was invited to exhibit at this inaugural event, to showcase how MEG plays an important role in epilepsy pre-surgical evaluation to qualify candidates for epilepsy surgery and to support surgery outcomes.
MEGIN’s presence enabled attendees to discuss MEG and gain further knowledge about this modality – such as information on our free insight programs, MEGIN Masterclass, and MEGIN Spotlights.
We were delighted to also be co-exhibiting at IESS with our local distributor, AMICO Group, leading speciality medical device providers in the Middle East region.
MEGIN and AMICO Group were thrilled to see our customer-partner, King Fahed Medical City (KFMC), represented at this congress with presentations by Dr. Vahe Poghosyan.
Dr. Poghosyan, is an experienced clinical neurophysiologist, cognitive neuroscientist, and Head of the MEG Lab at KFMC, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Poghosyan was asked to present at IESS, educating attendees on MEG and how it is utilized in epilepsy pre-surgical evaluation at KFMC.
Currently, Dr. Poghosyan’s MEG lab, established in 2011, is the only clinical MEG site in the region, and attracts epilepsy patients from far and wide seeking leading care.
KFMC has a strategic location in the heart of the capital Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is considered to be one of the quickest-growing and largest medical complexes in the Middle East, offering specialized medical services and the latest technologies.
